Dr. Jayalakshmi Valluri

Dr. V. Jayalakshmi is a Professor, Area Chair – Accounting and Finance, and Program Chair for the PGDM (Banking, Insurance & Financial Services) at Siva Sivani Institute of Management (SSIM), Hyderabad. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and executive education. She holds a Ph.D. in Commerce from Osmania University with specialization in Health Insurance, along with an M.Phil., M.Com., LL.B., and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII). Her academic and research interests include Insurance, Risk Management, Health Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, Financial Planning, and FinTech. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, presented research papers at national and international conferences, and developed e-learning content for professional education. At SSIM, she has contributed significantly to curriculum innovation, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA accreditation initiatives, and industry–academia collaboration. She is committed to fostering experiential learning, integrating emerging technologies into management education, and equipping students with the competencies required for successful careers in the BFSI sector.
