Course Structure and Curriculum

Students admitted to the Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) must undergo a rigorous three semesters of course work. In the First year, the students Will pursue the core and specialisation courses spread over 2 semesters. The students will pursue doctoral level Courses in the third semester.

The research scholar is expected to complete course work of total 42 credits covering 14 Courses of 3 credits each. The scholar will undertake 33 credits compulsory courses (which will be common across all specializations), and rest of 9 credits broken down into 3 elective courses from the functional area of Research (from a basket of choice provided by the area). The objective of the course work is to provide essential Exposure to various areas of management. The courses to be studied by the students during the course work are –

Duration for
Earning Credits

All the credits specified shall be earned within a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the Programme. Extension after the three years shall be approved by the Director for a period of one year with a review of progress every six months.

Grading System of Credit Courses/Seminar

The minimum of CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% is required for passing Course work (Semester I, II and III)/ Seminar. A candidate getting less than 60% shall be given one more opportunity to repeat the Course/ Seminar.

Comprehensive Examination

On successful completion of the course work the candidate need to qualify in the comprehensive examination and give a pre-registration seminar (thesis proposal) before the Research Advisory Committee (RAC).

Program Duration

The FPM at SSIM is three and half years’ duration. Students are required to ensure that they complete all requirements of the programme within the stipulated period of three and half years. Candidate shall submit his/ her Thesis only after a minimum period of two years after registration. However, in case of exceptional circumstances, the programme may further be extended twice by one-year duration, subject to approval by competent authority. However, the maximum period allowed for the submission of the Thesis is five years from the date of admission to the Programme.

Presentation of papers in national/international conferences

Publishing of papers in Scopus indexed journals

Eligibility

The applicant seeking admission to the EFPM of SSIM needs to adhere to the following eligibility criteria:
To be considered for admission into the EFPM (Full time) at SSIM, the applying candidate must possess one of the

MBA/PGDM/PG in allied subjects like Economics, Commerce and statistics with 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average

A graduate with professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS .
